Default Valentine's Day?

How will you celebrate your spouse on Valentines Day

Do you celebrate them other times during the year

What do you think is their most special quality

Finally, How long have you and your spouse been married

For Valentine's Day, I usually just buy him some of his favorite candies. My birthday is the day after so we celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day together with a dinner out (usually).

As for celebrating him during other parts of the year--I try to tell him often how much I appreciate him and love him. I will buy him little things here and there that he likes or mentions that he would like. I try to make his favorite meals. I guess I try to do lots of little things.

I think his most special quality is how hard he works--not only to provide for the family, but at training the children, at the church, etc.

We just celebrated our 16th anniversary a few months ago.

Usually I make my husband one of his favorite meals for Valentine's day (vegetable been soup), and he buys me some flowers. We don't make a big fuss over it. But it's nice to do a little something. We get to go out together sometimes during the year, right now it seems to be once every few months.

I think his most special quality is his patience. But also his humor, understanding, he's a hard worker, etc etc. He's a great guy, I'm so glad God gave him to me...I hope I bless him as much as he blesses me.

We've been married 7 1/2 years.

Rita and I exchange Valentine's cards each year, and I buy flowers and chocolates for her. We will usually go out for a celebratory meal together, also.

At other times of the year, we sometimes go out for a meal together. As we are both now in our seventies, we have decided we need to "get out more". We try to take a walk together each day for the sake of our health, and also go to the theatre when there is something on which appeals to us. Also, our local cinema has just re-opened (see my post under the "Entertainments - New Night at the Museum?" thread), so we will probably be making occasional visits there, also.

As it happens, today is our elder Grandchild's 9th Birthday, so we are hoping to go out for a family meal a little later.

Rita's most special qualities? Putting-up with me probably!! She is very patient, loyal and supportive, and I'm grateful for it.

We were married in May 1976, so We hope to celebrate our 39th anniversary shortly, and God willing, our Ruby Wedding next year.

Wow! Congrats to all of you on the many years of marriage! My hubby and I have been married 18 yrs.

We don't do anything special for Valentine's Day but we do have regular date nights and/or lunch dates on average about 2x/month just in the last year or so since our children are older.

We do express our love and appreciation for each other with cards and gifts on Christmas, birthdays, mothers'/fathers' day, and our anniversary. We try to do a two night getaway for our anniversary especially if it's a milestone year.

Its St Valentine's Day here in the UK today, so I have bought Rita some flowers, a box of chocolates, and a special little Valentine's cake for two, with "Love You" piped on to it with icing.
Now isn't that sweet!

We don't do much although it did remind me that we hadn't had dinner without the kids for a while so on Saturday night we put them to bed early and had a nice no kids dinner.

Aw! That IS sweet! Rita's a blessed woman!

We typically don't celebrate Valentine's Day but on Saturday I used the occasion to show my family some extra love. I made omelettes for breakfast and for dinner we ordered pizza from our favorite local shop. I also made heart-shaped cupcakes and frosted them in the style of conversation-heart candies. I'm not much of a decorator, but the cakes tasted great.
