Default Teething ):

My son is currently cutting a tooth right now. He wont chew on anything that is cold. I have tried a teether and a wash cloth. Ora Gel works for a few minutes and then wears off. I have gave him Tylenol, that don't seem to work to great either. I am running out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bless his heart! I remember those days! Drooling, soaking bibs with slobber

I can't think of anything besides what you are already doing. Hopefully someone will give you some new advice.

Praying for you and baby.

I don't know if you have a walgreens near you, but they carry these little red strips. I think the brand is Humphry's or something. I think they work pretty good, but you can never really know for sure...you can't ask them. I found if you put teethers in the fridge instead of the freezer my DS will take them better. Somethings just have to wait it out.

I alternate motrin and Tylenol every three hours. I think the motrin works better and I always use that first. A baby sock with frozen peas in it makes a good chew toy. You'll get through it. Praying for you both.

It may not be affordable, but baltic amber teething necklaces have worked REALLY well for my two. I didn't have to use any pain meds until the 2 year old molars come in and if you're planning more kids you can pass it down to the next bub and it will pay itself off.
Cass cried for days and days when cutting teeth, then at 8 months I heard of the necklaces and within a day she was fine. I didn't have to drug her again till she cut the big ones. Eli has been wearing his necklace since birth and the only way I've known he was teething was because I see the teeth appear.

I have heard a lot of success with this as well!
