I watched the first one. i thought it was great!

i haven't had a chance to see any other shows yet.

i think what he's trying to do in schools is highly commendable.

i think our public school lunches DO need a BIG overhaul!

I had just watched the most recent show last night and he went to the high school to cook. The lady from the district who is in charge of the food came to inspect. He made a Low Mein with lots of veggies and she said the kids are required to have 1 1/4 cup of fruits and veggies and that she could tell he was short that. He said " I have 7 different veggies in there!" She said, it's not enough. Then he looked at the kids going through the lines getting a chicken sandwich (fried) and French fries and said "where is their veggie?" That's when she told him the French fries count as a veggies. It was unbelievable, I thought he was going to have an anuerism, it was maddening.

We watched the british series .He went in to a school in England and changed all the food from rubbish to healthy but the kids were not happy so some of the mother started coming to the school gates at lunchtime to take orders from the kids for the chip shop .

They would come back to the kids with french fries , burgers etc......

I didn't watch that but living here (in England) I can believe it.

I had a friend in high school whose mother who was at home brought her McDonald's almost every day for lunch!

It is just as bad in Ireland , obesity in kids is going to get so bad in years to come , i think if something radical is not done soon we will have children dying before parents

It is so easy to put some vegtables in a saucepan and cook , right ???

I am not saying that we shouldn't have " pizza night " or treats every so often but "everything in moderation" is the best exsample to set kids .
