RedwoodMom 10-28-2008, 08:10 PM Yes. :D Croisdaidh 01-16-2009, 11:34 AM You can find out at your DPI (Department of Public Instruction) website. Do be aware that state requirements are often the bare minimum, and sometimes do not reflect a "college-prep" course of study. I checked not only the DPI, but also all the public and private school grad. requirements in my district. I found that the public school requirements are comparable to state requirements, but they do have a college prep course of study as well. The private school standards are considerably higher in my district than those of the state. Seems they have higher expectations for their students. You can also check university entrance requirements. As an example, our state requirements suggest a foreign language, but many colleges require at least 2 years of foreign language study for entrance to their university. |
