Anybody have any feedback on the latest Narnia movie? I had seen something somewhere that gave me the impression it was a lot harder to follow than the original. Just wondering if it's more of a "gotta see it in the theatre" movie or a rental.

Thanks for the input!

My dh and ds went and really liked it. They have read the books and saw the other movie. Dh said if you haven't read the books or seen the other movie than MAYBE it would be hard to follow.

That's great to hear! Our two were really big fans of the first Narnia. We don't go to a ton of movies but try to get to the "good" ones. Nice to hear that your family thought it was worthwhile. We'll plan to check it out while it's still in the theaters.

Oh, and just to show my ignorance, I had to use Google to figure out what dh and ds stood for! I think I need to find a dictionary of modern day texting abbreviations. I think at 47 this dog needs to learn a lot more tricks! :)

I saw Prince Caspian in the theater and I thoroughly enjoyed. I was able to pick up on several Biblical correlations although I do agree that they didn't stand out quite as much as the first movie. It is a good movie, but you could probably wait for the rental unless you're looking for a fun outing for the kiddos. I'm all about rentals anyway just because of the high cost of going to the theater these days. Were you going to take your kids? If they are a bit older like 8-12, i think it would be a fun outing for them and that they would enjoy. Be prepared for some violence...i think a bit more then the first one.

Thanks for the input. The previews looked a bit "wilder" than the first one, but then you never know. Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it might be a good one to leave our 7 year old home for. The 12 year old will eat it up I'm sure. Sounds like a good activity for a rainy weekend.

On an unrelated topic, I missed the previews before WALL-E last weekend but the family said that the preview of Journey to the Center of the Earth (in 3D) looked pretty cool. Not sure I want to strap on the 3D glasses for a couple of hours but we'll see
