Hi guys,

I know this is a bit late but just wanted to let you know that I gave birth to "Hannah Joy" on the 25/2/10 at 12:18pm (38 weeks) by c-section.

Weight - 3795gms (8 pounds 6 ounces)
Length - 51cm's
Head Circumference - 37cm's

All went well and both Mum and bub are back home. The girls are smothering the poor little thing with love. Thank you for all your prayers.

Tess, how have you been? How's your recovery going?

Good thanks. Hannah is 2 weeks old today. The community midwife was here for the second home visit and she said everything was fine. Hannah has put on more than the required amunt of weight and is doing well.

As for me recovery from this c-section was easier than last time. I had minimal abdominal pain (none now) and was up and about very early. God was so good to us and answered all our prayers regarding the surgery. The anesathist initially said she wasn't sure if she would be able to get the spinal in but she did first go. My blood loss with Erica was 3000ml but this time was less than 500ml. My wound is healing well and no sign of infection this time.

My Mum comes tomorrow for two weeks to help out. I really don't need much help but it will be nice for her to see the baby and give me more time to concentrate on homeschool stuff.

Thanks for all your kind words everyone.
