I joined the local YMCA!
I cannot wait to start. my orientation is Monday.
I think I will get a personal trainer initially, to steer me in the right direction.
 just wanted to share because I'm excited to be exercising again!

I had my gym orientation today. A young kid showed me the equipment.
It felf kind of weird. When he was showing me one of the cardio machines, he said, "and you can put in your age here..what are you? 22??"
I told him he was funny! hahaha!

anyway, i think i will get a personal trainer for the first month or two to get me started and keep me motivated.

I had a great work out today! my trainer really put me through the paces!
I'm already feeling it in my hamstrings when I walk up the stairs! :yikes:
I almost puked once while on the bike! I had to slow down some.
It's going to be tough to get back to where I was 7 years ago, but I'm sure it will be worth it!

please pray for my sore muscles! LOL!

Will be praying for your sore muscles and I know you can do and get back to where you want to be. You can do all things thru Christ who gives you strength:hug:

thanks Pheobe and AMEN!

besure to take before, during and after pix.

The before pix are always good to have for those days when you get discouraged or thing that nothing is happening and you can look back and see the difference!

I am really disappointed. My trainer cancelled again for today. that's 2 days in a row...friday and today.
I understand why...her son is ill and has asthma so she had to take him to the doc because he was wheezing.
I just cannot help but feel disappointed though. I am not motivated yet to go on my own. i wish i were. i get so nervous...not sure why.

For crying out loud, i am 45 yrs old! you'd think i would have the nerve to just get up and go already! I am mad at myself!

I just need some encouragement and motivation! :(

well, i did end up going to the Y after all. I did a warm up, then some circut training (like my trainer showed me once!), then did the eliptical for about 15 min because my legs began to feel like led! then did some abdominal work and stretching, then rode the bike for 15 min.
I'm proud of myself!
Sherry--thanks for the encouragement girl!
