here is just a bit of my testimony...

I was in Colorado Springs, CO, visiting my sister for my birthday. I had just broken up with a boyfriend of 8 years, and had went through a four year depression after I had been raped. My sister took me to her church and introduced me to her pastor and his wife, among others. They were so kind to me and welcomed me into their home. They treated me like no one else had for a very long time. My sister had been whitnessing to me for a few years prior, and this time with the help of the pastor's wife, I came to know Jesus better. Two days after my 36th birthday, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior! My life changed dramatically. I met my current husband 4 months later, got married 9 months after that, and started a family! It's been wonderful! I have been tested and tried a few times, with the death of my father 3 weeks before my first son was born, and almost losing my mother twice in the last two years, but I count my blessings every day!

What a fantastic testimony!! The hearts and lives that you will touch with your experience will be amazing. I've related to a few experiences you have had and when life is all said and done isn't it amazing to look back and see full circle the blessings God gives. Just amazing.

One of the things I've found is that I worry less due to God. I cannot control things that are out of my control, so I just leave it by.

When I was younger, I couldn't. I'd try to control things around me even if they weren't responding in the way I wanted to. Yet I kept trying. And as they didn't go the way I wanted, I became upset at it and myself for not figuring out why I was failing.

I am not Queen/Earth Mother/Fixer-of-all-things anymore. I am glad for that.
