My pediatrician told me that every six months a child goes through an emotional growth spurt.. meaning they get cranky and less responsive than they were. However, when they come out of it.. they are more mature than before. have you noticed that?

hmmmmm...that is interesting. I have never noticed this at 6 month intervals. i will have to pay more attention.
I have noticed that my son Stephen who is now 5yrs and 5 months old, is a bit more cranky. i will have to see if he comes out of it more mature.

I have never heard of that... but it may explain some of my 6 year old daughters behavior... LOL!
She goes between 6 and 16.... drives me nuts!
I bought her a cute shirt that had hearts on it... she cried... said it was babyish... ugh!

I just thought my kids were perpetually emotional. I have noticed Kyle more emotional lately and he is 11 1/2 so maybe...

I've never heard this either. I think my dd6 is always cranky though, so I'm not sure what to attribute that to.

I wonder if I'm going through that, my husband says i'm cranky one week out of the month, go figure. I'm going to blame it on the growth spurt thing.Think I can get away with it.Just kidding.:D
